Beginning in 2008, I began an occasional series looking at the careers of various notable prizefighters in comparison to their contemporary and historical peers. The series has evolved over time and, beginning with an examination of the career of Manny Pacquiao, continues here at The Corner Stool.
Future planned studies will look at the careers of fighters like Roman Gonzalez, Terence Crawford, and Saul Alvarez. Along with those, much of the original series will be gradually revised with enhanced statistics and in some case reevaluations of careers given more time to reflect on them (hey, opinions change).
